If you have different courses set against your food categories in TabHub (or the course that was set on BarTab if the course override has been used, the kitchen screen will loop through each course as you process an order.
Each course will go through the following statuses: New > In Progress > Ready > Collected. Each status is indicated by a different colour header and a progress bar with the current status highlighted.
1. New
A new order is indicated by an orange header with the first step of the status bar (order pad icon) highlighted. If the ticket contains multiple courses, the first course to be prepared will be highlighted in green on the ticket.
2. In progress
When a user presses the arrow in the top right of a new ticket, it will move to in progress. The header will change to purple and the second step of the status bar will be highlighted to indicate the course is being prepared.
3. Ready
Once the course has been prepared the user will press the arrow in the top right of the ticket again, which sets the order to "Ready". This sends a message to the EPOS iPads so the front of house staff can see that the course is ready to be taken to the table.
4. Collected / New
When the first course has been collected to be taken to a table, the user will press the arrow in the top right of the ticket again to mark it as collected.
The first course items will be displayed with a line through them to indicate that this course has been served and the next course items will be highlighted in green. The status of the ticket moved back to 'New' to indicate that the current course is not yet being prepared.
5. Second course in progress
When a user presses the arrow in the top right of the ticket again, it will again move to in progress. The header will change to purple and the second step of the status bar will be highlighted to indicate the next course is now being prepared.
6. Second course ready
Once this course has been prepared the user will press the arrow in the top right of the ticket again, which sets the order to "Ready". This sends a message to the EPOS iPads so the front of house staff can see that this course is ready to be taken to the table.
4. Second course collected
When the second course has been collected to be taken to a table, the user will press the arrow in the top right of the ticket again to mark it as collected. Any additional courses will be looped through in the same way, or if this is the final course the ticket will be removed from the view, but will still be available to view under the complete orders tab at the top of the screen.
