Making a Chip & Pin Payment with PayPal Here

This article covers how to take a card payment using the PayPal Here card reader.

After adding some items to an order, click 'PAY' and then select 'C/CARD'

Click 'ADD PAYMENT' and you should see the payment amount on BarTab and the PayPal Here reader.

If you see the below screen, check that you have correctly paired your PayPal Here device to your iPad.

Ask the customer to insert their card into the reader. The customer will be prompted to enter their PIN.

Once the PIN is entered, the PayPal Here reader will display 'Completing Payment...' as below

BarTab and the PayPal Here card reader will indicate when the payment has been completed, as below.

Once the card has been removed BarTab will prompt if the customer would like a receipt via email or text. If the customer would just like a printed receipt, select "No Receipt" on this screen.

Press 'Done' to come out of the payment screen and print a receipt, whch will contain the card information as below.
